Well it's here... my holiday funk. I shouldn't be surprised though.. happens every year.
The holidays used to be a lot of fun... thanksgiving used to be just my mom, dad, papa, aunt liz, and I. Lots of good food, tons of desserts brought over from my aunt liz, and she would always bring me an ornament, which was always piano themed. Then came christmas, where christmas eve we'd all go over my aunt liz's house for a ginormus fest. Then christmas morning... and we couldn't touch our presents until papa woke up, got his morning coffee, and came up stairs. always tradition, always so much fun. but, as we all know, people get sick, and some leave us..
Now, please don't think I think I have it worse off than others, believe me, I know I'm very, very lucky to be where I am and to have so many who love me. I just miss our old traditions. They've been replaced with my mom's side of the family coming over, which is always drama. Thanksgiving is always a toss up for who's actually coming over for cousins... which one is caught up in drugs? one of us is married now, after dating someone for 4 months? plus crazy drama that i'm not posting on the internet... plus edith is coming over. which i'm kinda glad that she is because my cute little cousins are coming over (katie and kevin...although i hear katie's starting to be a little snob) but still, i'll get asked for the 80th time what i'm studying in school, and probably when i graduate (which, btw, she got me a graduation card). Then the end of the dinner comes where all my cousins fight over all the food, and then one always likes to take whatever he pleases out of our fridge, whether it be there for thanksgiving or not, and want to take it back with him. Most times it's something that I want.. but half of me wanting it is just my only child kicking in (if it's gunna kick in somewhere, at least it's with family) and half is just me wanting him to stop mooching. At least I have great stories.
So I will admit, when I started this post I was feeling really shitty... not looking forward to tomorrow. But, since, I'm feeling a lot better. Granted, I'm still not looking forward to tomorrow, but it's just a day to get through. I'm helping my mom out in the morning to cook, and then before you know it, family will be here, eat, leave, so on. Then Friday comes - trip down to Boston with Sarah and Charles, then home to greet someone who's coming back from visiting home :) :) I wonder who that could be... ;)
All in all, i'm thankful for a whole heck of a lot. I have great friends, loving family, and the best boyfriend a girl could ask for. I got a job, no matter how crazy it is, and I'm moving into a better, safer apartment on tuesday. I hope all of your Thanksgivings are turkeyfull and delicious. This morning around midnight, my body decided to wake me up out of no where. I was scared out of my mind for no reason. nothing woke me up, there was no loud bang, no one texted me... well, erin did, but that was at 11:30. From what I can remember, I was having a somewhat normal dream.. strangest thing ever.
This led to me falling back asleep, but having the weirdest dreams. Of course I don't remember them.... but what I do remember is waking up in a shitty mood. I hate these moods because I get so negative, think the dumbest things, like no one cares about me, nate doesn't want to be with me... just really stupid shit. But, it's nothing that my morning drive can't fix, blasting music and singing my heart out. I truly believe that music is the answer to life's problems. Soo...
My good thing about today - 1. I got ready in enough time so that I could stop at Dunks... found out that they have a pepermint mochacchino AND a peppermint chocolate donut. got my regular blueberry coffee though :) also - I'M GOING HOME TODAY! even if tomorrow is going to be awkward and uncomfortable... i'm going home :) and friday, i will be very, very happy :)
now... off to write a playlist for a c.d. to cheer meghan up (told you, music is the answer) |

saturday - woke up next to nate :) also, i went home, which is always a good idea.
sunday - had great conversations with my mom, we chatted like we were more bffls than mom and daughter. fantastic! got pulled over twice in the same drive from my house to my apt, and i just laughed (both for my head light being out). also, PATS WON!
monday - was sick, but it gave me an opportunity to catch up on sleep. felt really motivated to cook, and wanted to return to spain real bad.
today - tonight i'm cooking something... anything. cooking a whole pound of ground hamburg... so if you're hungry, come on over!!
thinking about cancelling my voice lessons. not really a fan of them or the teacher. plus we haven't done them in two weeks, so she's probably expecting me to stay late today... which i don't want to. Oh well!!

today i bought two "hello" cards for meghan and erin. while writing them, i realized how much i missed them, and i cried. college is over, no matter how hard i try to "live it up". there's no time for that. i work 8 to 430, and when i get back i am too tired to do anything else. people are too busy on the weekends to hang out.
i'm really tired of being sad and depressy all the time. i need to find a hobby... or get a small pet to tend to. i don't have the money for a cat or dog, and i tend to be a fish killer (seeing how i killed half of the tmnt)... and i don't want a lizard. soooo maybe i'll just make some stuffed animals.
At least tomorrow I get to see Nate :) But thennn he leaves for a whole week. Oh well, I'm excited for him, he hasn't gone home in 2 years, I couldn't imagine doing that.
Well, back to drinking some Mikes and watching futurama (and quoting the whole episode with dillon via text...hahaha). |

i'm moving.
i can't wait to get out of the shit hole i'm in now. it sucks and i jump at the slightest sounds made outside my door.. which, by the way, is still not fixed. I called the landlord today to ask about the progress, but of course no one answered. left a VM, but no one called back. say thanks manch gardens.
looked at a place yesterday with nate which was nice, and then we're going on saturday to see two more. I want to make a decision on Sunday and get my application in on Monday and move ASAP.
but, tonight will be busy with tye-dyeing, decorating, and mid-terming. oh what fun! i just hope by chance i don't have to sleep alone tonight. nate's been awesome and staying over all week, but there is a chance that he might not be able to come over, which will suck, but i'll just blast the tvs so people know i'm home (and so i won't be scared)

I'm done with Mondays through Thursdays...
All I do is just go to work then come back and do nothing, absolutely nothing. Plus I have no motivation to do anything, even if I had anything to do.
I never thought I'd agree more with Loverboy...everybody's working for the weekend? hell yes i am. and when it comes, it's never long enough.
I'm so unappreciated at my job. Jess is switching positions and soon her desk will be open, leaving her current position open. They might make it a GA position, and I almost had to fight to have the GA sit at my place and I move to Jess's desk. How shitty would that be, a full-time staff member sitting at the same desk as tour guides, and then a GA who works 25 hours a week doing administrative shit sitting at their own desk. And obviously they're gunna want Rizzi to do it. Fuck no, he can sit with the tourguides, where he belongs, and I will have my own desk, thank you.
The end of today just sucked. People act so fucking rude to our office, which you think they wouldn't, because we're ADMISSIONS. You'd think that, oh, I dunno, if you act like an asshole we're not going to take notice? Fuck you, go away, go live your miserable life.
I just miss people so much. Everyone's busy with their own life. Dianna and Jess are most likely going back home next semester... great. Nate's busy with his own stuff... then comes the weekend, and it's gone so fucking quickly.
I feel like I'm repeating myself everytime I update. I probably am. Oh well, whatever, so is my life. I shouldn't complain, I've got a loving boyfriend, a decent job, and great friends. Life is just kinda shitty right now...
At least tomorrow I get to see Max and Blaise at UMASS. I hope it'll be awesome. Then Saturday the rents are coming up and Nate's coming over, at least for a little bit. Then Sunday, I hope Nate comes over :) Chunky's date with him soon :)

I figured it was time for more chipper things to write about.
Work has been crazy, but so is the life in admission office.
Nate surprised me last night by a visit, and i loved it:) well, he said he may visit, but then BOOM! he opens the door, it was fantastic! Finally slept well for one night :) He's the best :)
Had my frist voice lesson yesterday. It was interesting. We focused a lot on breathing, which is good, because I wanted to learn more technique than anything. She had I had great pitch, which is also great because that just confirms that I'm not tone deaf. yay!
Friday I'm thinking about going out on the town of Manch with some friends. If you're 21+, feel free to join. It's gunna be a hoot.

Had an excellent weekend!
Friday went to Danbury, CT. That drive is so lonely and boring when you go it alone. But, very rewarding when you get there! Chilled at Erin's house, and Meghan invited her newly ex-boss to hang out with us. He got plastered and it was funny for a while when he was trying to make a rule for Kings, but he thought we were playing asshole.
But then it quickly turned annoying when he kept trying to drive home. We somehow got his keys, and kept telling him to just go to bed. He'd be quiet for about 20 minutes, then get up and try to get his keys from Meghan. Mind you, this was at 3:00 in the morning, and I had been up since around 6:30 AM. So I wasn't too happy.
Woke up the next morning still stressed, stomache cramped up, head pounding, and not being able to breathe. But, it was the day of the partay, so no complaints!
Yesterday was Nate and I's 6 month anniversary!! :)
I cooked him honey mustard lamb. It was really good! I was surprised given that I have little culinary expertise, and I have never cooked lamb before. But, we had a very relaxing night, and I gave him his sox tickets!! :) I love spoiling him! hehe :)
Next weekend a bunch of us are going camping. Rizzi has never been camping, so this should be fun. He's already worried about refridgeration of our food and having running water. hahahahahaha good times. life is good. |

Lately I've been seriously thinking about getting my own phone plan and all that. My options are down to two: Blackberry and iPhone.
Blackberry is one cent cheaper.
I'm more attracted to the iPhone. I was thinking originally about getting an iTouch, but Blaise brought up a good point "why not just go with the iPhone?" I've heard great stories about it too, and I think I'd like it a lot better than the Blackberry, with the different apps and all that. Plus it's touch screen. I know the Blackberry storm is too, but I haven't been able to play around with that as much as I have with iPhones and iTouches.
The only thing is I'd have to pay for this myself...and this is about $90 a month (single plan, unlimited texting, about 400 minutes a month). Both have data plans of $30.
The only thing still dragging me back to a verizon phone is that my friends with Verizon phones will get charged to text me. But, most if not all of my friends with verizon have unlimited plans, so it doesn't matter.
